Baths, Snacks, Lunch, Naps

This weekend was such a blast! Jay and I helped take care of our niece, Rylee and nephew, Logan, while their parents were out of town.

They, along with my brothers, Jeff and Kyle, came to our house Thursday night. We had pizza for dinner and then went swimming at Jay's parents house. They slept really well after so much fun!

I took Friday off of work, so I could play with them ALL DAY. After pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast, which left me with a huge mess...then baths, snacks, lunch and naps....We finally were ready to head to the Tree House Museum. Vanessa, Brad, and Jay joined Me, Rylee, Logan and Kyle, but Jeff had other plans. We were only there for a few minutes after buying our passes when they announced that they were closing early for some Halloween thing. I was so mad!! We just got there and just bought everyone's tickets, and no one mentioned at the ticket booth, oh by the way we close in 45 minutes. So me and Vanessa went back up to the ticket booth to get our money back. Which they settled by giving us free passes, which is lame. I haven't been there in years, and I probably wasn't planning on going there anytime real soon. But, oh well. The kids did have fun, but weren't ready to leave when we had to.

After leaving the Tree House, we stopped and bought pumpkins to take to my mom's house for painting. Logan and Rylee had a blast painting their pumpkins, and so did everyone else!

We left then, and left everyone to go clean up the great mess at our house, and then I went with some friends to dinner.

Saturday we went to take Logan and Rylee and Jeff, Brad and Kyle and Brad's friend, to a corn maze, but we couldn't find the one we wanted, and so decided to go bowling. Rylee clapped and cheered for everyone and had fun kicking her bowling ball down on her turn. And Logan was so excited to go bowling and loved having his turns. Just for the record: Rylee and I won with 13o-some-odd points!! Although Jay helped since Rylee and I went to the arcades for a while... After bowling we got some ice cream!!

The kids were really good and so much fun, but lots of work!! They also did really well with Lola!! They tell her to sit and stay. They love to pet her and give her treats!

Jay and I also had so much fun with these kids, although we are tired of the backyardagains songs!! We can't stop singing them! They are just too catchy. "I've got RAD MOVES!" is my favorite.
