So long, Farewell!

Today is my last day of work! (wasn't the plan...but the plan has changed.) My doctor put my on partical bed rest about a week and a half ago so I've only been doing half days lately which has been really nice. She's been watching me close for a condition called preeclampsia and so the bed rest was to try to keep my blood pressure down and keep my feet less swollen. Since it's extremely difficult to just lay in bed, I admit, I didn't do it as well as I could have. I'm not a good-listening patient. I did rest more than I would have otherwise, but I didn't commit to the whole idea. But I was able to get some other things done, which have been driving me nuts so that's been really great - in my mind.

Tuesday we went to the doctor's office for our bi-weekly appointment and our doctor said, "let's see about getting this baby here this week." AHHH!!! It made me so excited but scared me to death! To think that he could really come anytime! I wasn't ready! And I didn't think that I had to be ready until his due date, the 11th. Luckily, after she consulted with another doctor, they decided we could wait a little longer. THANK GOODNESS! So we go back tomorrow, and we'll see what she says and if we'll find out when our little baby is going to be ready - whether I am or not - I guess it's not up to me! But I feel more ready now because I was able to cross some more things off my "to-do before the baby comes list", which makes me feel better. And I know, things can wait, and he'll come anyway and it won't matter, but it's just nice to have it finished now anyway.

So without work, I don't have the easy access to daily internet. So...So long! Farewell!! I'm sure I'll get on sometime with pictures of the baby and all - but not from work! Well for about 6 weeks anyway.
